Dr. Yoshi Terauchi

Short bio

Dr. Yoshi Terauchi is a world-renowned endodontist with over 25 years of clinical experience, specializing in the management of complex endodontic cases. He is a part-time lecturer at Tokyo Medical & Dental University and maintains a private practice dedicated to endodontics in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Terauchi earned his DDS in 1993 and completed his residency at Tokyo Medical & Dental University in 1995, where he also obtained his PhD in Endodontics.

As a pioneer in his field, Dr. Terauchi is the inventor of the Terauchi File Retrieval Kit, which includes the innovative Yoshi Loop and specialized ultrasonic tips, enabling efficient and minimally invasive removal of broken instruments in challenging canals. His scientific contributions extend to numerous peer-reviewed articles and co-authorship of pivotal textbooks, including the 11th and 12th editions of Pathways of the Pulp and Endodontics: Principles and Practice.

Dr. Terauchi is also the founder of the Dental Arts Academy, Japan’s leading training center for advanced endodontics, and has delivered lectures and hands-on training to professionals worldwide. His research focuses on broken file removal, ledge bypassing, and MTA obturation, significantly influencing contemporary endodontic techniques.
